Many collectible wines—wines that may age well and appreciate in value over time—display auction prices, which reflect the average price for which the wine sold at commercial auctions in the most recent quarter. If no sale for a wine occurred in the past quarter, we cite the price from the next available preceding quarter. If no auction price is cited, the wine has not been sold at commercial auctions in the past 12 months. All prices are taken from commercial auctions within the United States.
